While the weather remains chilly and Christmas was just a week ago, it’s that time of year again — time to sign up for Little League baseball.
The Turlock National Little League will be holding sign-ups at the Pitman High School cafeteria at the following times and dates: 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Jan. 10; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 14; 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Jan. 17; and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Jan. 21.
Registration fees are as follows: Ages 7 through 12, $90; ages 13 through 16, $110. Players who register at one of the above dates, or before Jan. 21, save $10. Families with three or more players receive an additional savings of $10 per player.
Parents or guardians need to bring the player’s original birth certificate, and three proofs of their residence. They have to be registered by Jan. 26 in order to guarantee place on a team.

Turlock American Little League sign-ups will be held at the First United Methodist Church, on the corner of Berkeley and Arbor, at the following times and dates: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Jan. 6; 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Jan. 12; 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Jan. 13; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Jan. 14.
Registration fees are $100 for Majors and Minors and $75 for Machine Pitch. Parents or guardians need to bring the player’s original birth certificate, and three proofs of their residence.
Players who live generally on the West side of town are in the National Little League and players who live on the East side of town are in the American Little League. For more information, call Melody Lema at 667-4775.
