Tyler Soderstrom is back in the big leagues.

On Saturday, the 22-year-old first baseman was activated off the injured list by the Oakland Athletics and joined the team in Chicago amid their series with the White Sox. It came 68 days after he had to fly from Boston back to Oakland after suffering a stress reaction in his left wrist.

Soderstrom had been in the A's starting lineup from Saturday through Monday and was available off the bench in Tuesday's game against the Cubs at Wrigley Field.

After going hitless in his first two games, the Turlock High graduate went 2-for-4 Monday with a pair of base hits.

Coming into Wednesday, the A's have nine games remaining in the regular season. They have a 66-86 record.
