Results from the second Central California Conference Cross Country Center Meet, held at Buhach Colony High on Wednesday, virtually mirrors those of the league's first Center Meet which was held three weeks ago.

Turlock High's girls again placed second overall behind Atwater High, with respective scores of 49 and 47, while its boys again placed third overall with 69 points. This time around, however, the Lady Bulldogs fell only two points shy of the Falcons compared to the 17-point difference from the first Center Meet.

Both of Pitman High's teams finished in sixth place, as they did three weeks ago.

Top runners from both schools improved their 3-mile times, though many of them finished in different positions.

Turlock freshman Arianna Lara-Chaves, who finished first overall in the first Center Meet, finished third overall on Wednesday while Makenzie Salyer improved four positions to finish fifth and Cassandra Derdivanis improved eight positions to finish 10th.

Javier Lara was Turlock's only top ten finisher on the boy's side with a 9th place finish while Emily Cariaso and Jared England were Pitman's top finishers with 21th and 26th place efforts, respectively.

Both Turlock and Pitman will compete in the Hughson Invitational on Oct. 18 before co-hosting the third CCC Center Meet at Donnelly Park on Oct. 29.
