Twelve players between the Pitman and Turlock volleyball programs have been honored for their efforts this season by landing on the 2024 Central California Athletic League awards list.

The Pride, who went 29-7 overall and won the CCAL title with a 10-0 record, had four of their star juniors headline the special honors, as Maryn Hall was named Most Valuable Player and Aila Reich named Defensive Player of the Year.

Hall was one of the most dominant offensive forces in the district, compiling 451 kills and 60 aces while only committing 111 errors. She had a 46.7 kill percentage and an 85.4 serving rate. Additionally, her 453 receptions put her at 1,000 in her career.

Reich was the anchor for the dynamic Pitman club, racking up 622 digs, 459 receptions, 40 assists and 48 aces. Like Hall, Reich broke the career 1,000 mark, but in digs. She wrapped her year with 1,038 heading into her senior season.

Meanwhile, the Bulldogs were represented by their first-year head coach, Stacie Macias, in the major honors list, as she was named Coach of the Year. Turlock went 14-9 and 6-4 in conference competition for a third-place finish.

Joining Macias in representing the Bulldogs on this year’s All-CCAL list were three First Team honorees — senior hitter Lauren Parker, junior libero Audrey Mensonides and sophomore hitter Amelia Spaulding. Pitman’s senior setting duo of Mia Ngo and Danica Zamora were also named to the First Team.

Making the Second Team was Pitman junior Kayliyah Williams and Turlock sophomore Haley Stiles.

Freshmen Alyssa Moreno of Pitman and Isabella Macias of Turlock were honorable mentions.
