HUGHSON — Turlock High dominated the boys and girls competition at the Stanislaus County Track and Field Championships on Friday at Hughson High’s Memorial Stadium.
The Bulldogs amassed 170 points in boys action, 83 points clear of second-place Pitman, while THS' girls finished with 151.5 points, 60 points ahead of runner-up Oakdale. The Pride’s girls were third with 81 points.
In the boys competition, Turlock’s Ricardo Lacerda was a double winner, taking firsts in the 400 meters (51.62 seconds) — edging out teammate Ismael Hernandez by .42 seconds — and the pole vault (13 feet), ahead of Pitman’s Dante Jenkins (12-6) and Hughson’s Bryce Williams (11-6).

Pitman’s Jonathan Williams was also a double-winner, taking the 100- (11.28) and 200-meter (22.56) dashes.
Turlock got additional wins from Logan Petty in the 800 (2:00.93), Theodore Santos in the 1,600 (4:24.95), Joseph Delte in the long jump (21-4), and Cash Burton in the triple jump (43-8.5), while Hughson’s Malakai Sumter was victorious in the high jump with a leap of 5-10.
On the girls side, Angel Trefry Bet George was a double winner for the Bulldogs as she triumphed the 100 (12.95) and 200 (26.81), while teammate Zoe Lamur took the 300 hurdles (45.99) — ahead of Pitman’s Nayeli Mattison (49.21) — and long jump (18-0).
Meanwhile, Pitman’s Avery Carlson earned a pair of firsts in the 1,600 (5:07.86), and 3,200 (11:17.60), where she pulled away from Turlock’s Aubrey Webb (11:40.80) and Hughson’s Sophie Benham (11:48.82).

Turlock’s Isabella Macias won the discus (96-5), while teammates Haley Stiles (5-2) and Emma Trevor (4-10) finished 1-2 in the high jump.
The Bulldogs went 1-2-3 in the pole vault competition, with Brooke Schumacher taking first place (10-6) ahead of Alexa Sandoval (10-6) and Trevor (9-0). Hughson’s Liliana Silva was fourth (9-0).
Pitman’s Saveena Gadri won the shot put with a heave of 33-6.5.
The Turlock foursome of George, Lamur, Serene Klair, and Alexa Sandoval broke the tape in the 4x100 relay with a clocking of 49.87, in front of the Pride's Alaijah Mitchell, Karma Warren, Kayliyah Williams, and Sofia Martinez (51.81).
Pitman’s squad of Montana Rodin, Aileen Roque, Adelyne Persons, and Mattison took first in the 4x800 relay (10:56.41).
