We need Frantz’s experience and dedication to help lead TID into the future
letter

Dear Editor,

In 1992, I was part of a team that brought a new agricultural business to Turlock. We chose Turlock primarily because Turlock Irrigation District had some of the lowest electricity rates in California and a reputation for reliable service. That was the right choice then and it is the right choice today.  TID has been an excellent partner for all businesses in Turlock to keep our rates lower than most in California and with minimal service interruptions. All of this is because TID is a very well run, lean organization and all of this starts with a Board of Directors that are not only good stewards of the business, but they fight for our water which is important to all of us.

I was lucky to be selected to be a member of the most recent TID Academy. Thought these educational sessions, I learned about how TID manages everything from electrical power to water distribution and operating in an ever-changing regulatory environment that is being driven by climate change. TID has a group of managers, many of whom have been there for many years, that know what needs to be done and they get it done.

No organization can survive without good leadership, and it all starts with the TID Board of Directors. Micheal Frantz is running for reelection to the TID Board. He has been on the board for many years and has a great deal of experience that we need in these uncertain times. He has a wealth of knowledge, particularly in the area of water, which is so important to all of us in Turlock. As a successful businessperson, he brings a perspective that is important to TID.

On November 5, I urge you to vote for Michael Frantz, TID Director, Division 1.

We need his experience and dedication to help lead TID into the future.
