Virginia C. Pacheco, 88, of Hilmar, was born Oct.20, 1921 in Ribeirinha, Terceira, Azores and died on May 13, 2010 in Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock.
She was a homemaker for 30 years and a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Hilmar. Mrs. Pacheco came to the United States in 1968, and lived in Turlock for 36 years and in Hilmar for six years. She was a member of Our Lady of Miracles of Gustine, Our Lady of Fatima of Turlock and Portuguese Fraternal Society of American Council 152 of Hilmar.
She is survived by sons, Jose C. Pacheco and his wife, Maria, of Ribeirinha, Terceira, Azores, Antonio C. Pacheco and John C. Pacheco of Hilmar; brother, Antonio M. Codorniz of Gustine; sister-in-law, Dolores Cordeiro of Modesto; four grandchildren, Jose Pedro Pacheco, Tony Pacheco, Yvonne Pacheco and Yeslin Pacheco; and four great grandchildren, Delianna Pacheco, Pedro Jose Pacheco, Darryan Pacheco and Mia Isabella Clinkenbeard.
Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday, May 17 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel in Turlock. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 17 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hilmar. A Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 18 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. It will be officiated by Father Hilary Silva.
Burial will be at  Turlock Memorial Park.
