Terrie Denise King, a resident of Turlock, CA, passed away at UCSF Medical Center in San Francisco, at the age of 59. 

Terrie was born in Swindon, England, to William Shelton and Sarah Muerrens. Raised in Turlock, CA, she went to local schools and graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Business Administration. 

Terrie married the love of her life, Larry King, on November 4, 1978, in Reno, NV. Together, they built a home in Turlock and raised a loving family. 

Throughout her life, Terrie worked as the Purchasing Manager at Emanuel Medical Center, a Real Estate Agent, and finally the Director of Donor Relations for EMC Health. She retired in 2019. 

In her spare time, Terrie loved attending church service, bible study, and events at Richland Faith Assemblies of God, where she was a Youth Director for 23 years and the Women’s Ministries Director for 7 years. She enjoyed boating at both Turlock and Don Pedro Lake, camping in Pinecrest, spending days on the beach and relaxing by the ocean, and shopping. Most of all, she adored spending time with family and friends. 

Terrie was selfless and kind in everything she did. She often devoted herself to serving her local community, helping to raise money for Jessica’s House and Covenant Care Hospice. She touched so many lives in the community and her presence will be dearly missed. 

Terrie was preceded in death by her father, William Shelton; father-in-law, Bob King; and mother-in-law, Genie King. She is survived by her loving husband, Larry King; sons, Aaron and Adam King; daughters-in-law, Tiffany and Angeliki King; grandchildren, Ryan, Raegan, Roman and Levi King; mother, Sarah Muerrens; sister, Pam Shelton; sister, Mande (Kurt) Meyers; brother-in-law, Ken King; brother, Chris (Melissa) Shelton; brother, Mike Shelton; six nieces, one nephew, one great-niece, and one great-nephew. 

A viewing will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., on Friday, November 5, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 6, 2021. All services will be held at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. Following the funeral, Terrie will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
