Shirley Sneed passed away peacefully in Turlock. She was 75.

Shirley Ann (Nicholas) Sneed was born in Lancaster, California, May 1942. Her family relocated to Turlock when she was a child. She attended the local schools and graduated from Turlock High School.

Shirley met then married Paul Sneed June 25, 1960 in Ceres, CA.  They had three children Douglas, Dennis and Sherry. Shirley was a mother and homemaker when her children were small. She worked in food service for the Turlock School District for 20 years. Shirley was a 50 year member of a local Southern Baptist Church and worked faithfully in the children’s ministry. She was has active in the church nursery and youth group.  Shirley enjoy traveling with her husband and family. She also enjoyed making ceramics and cooking. What she enjoyed most was time spent with her grandchildren.

Shirley was loved very much and will be missed.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Paul of Turlock, three children: Douglas (Kaye) Sneed of Modesto, CA, Dennis (Jo Ella) Sneed of Atwater and Sherry (Andres) Zamora of Turlock. One sister Diane Sabin of Turlock. Nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held Wednesday July 26th from 4-6pm at Allen Mortuary. Funeral Service will be held Thursday, July 27th at 12:30pm at Allen Mortuary. Burial will follow in Turlock Memorial Park.
