Robert M. Stroud was born in Bethesda, Md. on April 8, 1951 and passed away on Dec. 16, 2010 in Modesto.

He was worked in maintenance for schools for 18 years, and he was a member of the Church of Latter-Day Saints of Turlock. He enjoyed collecting coins and loved to go to church.

He is survived by his wife, Katharine Stroud of Turlock; mother, Margaret Bentis of Panama City, Fla.; sons, Michael R. Stroud of Turlock, Steven V. Stroud of Camp Pendleton and David A. Stroud of Turlock; brother,  John VanEtte of Hollister; sisters, Mary Hargens of Turlock and Julie Graham of Panama City, Fla.; and grandson, Grayson Stroud of Turlock.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 23 at the Church of Latter-Day Saints in Turlock. Burial will be at private.
