Paul Alvin Frost of Turlock peacefully passed away on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at the age of 96. He was born in Lodi to Emmett and Mary “Mollie” Frost and raised in the Turlock and Denair area. Paul was drafted into the U.S. Army on March 22, 1941. He served four and a half years of service during WWII. He was a Military Policeman, Heavy Machine Gunner, and a Light Truck Driver while serving in Alaska and Germany. During his service, he married Doris Babb. After the war, Paul and Doris settled in Turlock where he worked for Turlock School District. Paul and Doris owned Honeycomb Bakery in Turlock from 1970 until 1978. From 1987 until 1994 Paul and Doris cared for over 30 teenage foster girls.
Paul is survived by his son, Robert Frost of Turlock, granddaughter Dana Bergsbaken, and great granddaughter Kelly Bergsbaken of Albuquerque, as well as two sisters, Verna Casey of Turlock and Carolyn Bland of Visalia. He is preceded in death by his wife, Doris V. Frost, in 2008, three sisters, and three brothers.
Services will be held inside the Mausoleum at Turlock Memorial Park on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 11:00am.
