Patsy Ruth Novo, a resident of Turlock, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at the age of 84.
Patsy was born on January 30, 1939 in Ink, Arkansas to her parents, Bonnie and Francis.
She spent her formative years in Ink before moving with her family to Gustine, California.
After traveling the country for a year with her best friend, Pasty resided in Honolulu, Hawaii for some time before moving back to California and finally settling in Turlock.
She married her husband, Richard Novo, on May 10, 1993 in Reno, Nevada. They were married for nearly 27 years before his passing.
Patsy was a trailblazer, transitioning from a building department secretary to becoming the first woman building inspector for the City of Turlock (and one of the first in California) where she retired in 1994.
She loved to travel and take RV camping trips with family and friends.
In her spare time, Patsy volunteered for the Loyal Order of Moose where she was a collegian and lifetime member.
Patsy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Novo, and son, Marvin Novo.
She leaves behind her children, Kevin (Summer) Sterling, Richard (Renee) Novo, David (Diane) Novo, and Karen (Jerry) Thompson, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
