Our precious mother, Olive Elaine Dill,  passed away peacefully on September 13, 2014 into the arms of her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ at her home in Turlock, California.

Elaine was born in Casa Grande, Arizona on June 17, 1922 to Sam & Leona Darr where she grew up with 1 brother and 2 sisters.  She met our wonderful Dad, Tharold, at age 15.  He came to Arizona from Bixby, Oklahoma.  They married just 6 weeks before she turned 16 years old.  Elaine & Tharold were married 76 years on April 30, 2014.  Tharold passed away on June 23, 2014.

Our mom & dad moved from Arizona to Turlock in 1951 to their home on South Tegner Road along with 3 children, Sandra Fox, Terry Dill, & Ronna Bond.  She spent her “farmer’s wife” days being a devoted wife & mother, gardening, canning, 4H & PTA Mom, and enjoying life on the farm.  Through the next forty years she became a grandmother to 12 grandchildren whom she loved dearly.  Always willing to drop what she was doing to play cards or games or bake or make candy; never missing any activity the grandchildren were in.  “Granny & Poppo” were always there for everyone.  Later came 16 great grandchildren who all treasure their memories & time with their Granny.

Everyone who met her loved her beautiful smile & loving personality.

A memorial service will be held at Fellowship Bible Chapel on Saturday, September 20th at 2:00 PM.

Viewing at Allen Mortuary from 3-8pm on September 19th & 10am - 1pm on September 20th.

Donations may be made to Fellowship Bible Chapel or Christian Berets.
