Melvia “Mel” Lynn has passed away at age 93.
Mel was born May 14, 1928, in Arkansas to William Thomas Lynn and Cora Jane Lynn. He married the love of his life, Juanita Darnell in 1948, and together they had three sons, Rick, Roger, and Ron.
He joined the Navy at age 18 and was honorably discharged after serving two years. He then relocated to Gustine, California and worked for the Borden Creamery, which later became the Knudsen Corporation. Mel was also a Licensed Minister through the Assemblies of God Northern California District and served churches in Westley, Hilmar, and Gustine. He was devout in this Christian faith, embodying the teachings in every facet of his life.
He retired from Knudsen-Visalia in 1983 and relocated back to Hilmar, California. He joined the Bethel Retirement Community in 2018 where Juanita passed and spent the last of his days at Paramount Court Senior Living in Turlock, California.
Mel is survived by two sons, Roger Lynn of Turlock, and Ron Lynn of West Jordan Utah, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Juanita, his three brothers, two sisters, and eldest son Rick. He was a devoted and honorable Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at 11am at N. Hilmar Cemetery, on 8710 Tegner
