Mary Burt, 79, of Turlock passed away Sept. 23 at Emanuel Medical Center. She was born in May 1930 to John and Lillie Vines in Beaver Dam, NC. She lived in New York City from 1950 to 1984, before moving to California. She met Ken Klein while living in San Jose in 1987. They were companions ever since. They moved to Turlock in 1999.
Mary is survived by Ken Klein of Turlock; daughters, Joan Shoates of Modesto and Joyce Mercer of Turlock; sister, Lucille; four grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Emma, Beatrice, Grace and Mamie; and a brother who passed away as a young child.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 30 at Allen Mortuary. Burial will follow at Acacia Memorial Park, Modesto. Arrangements are entrusted to Allen Mortuary. Please leave memories or condolences at www.allenmortuary.com.
