A memorial service for Mary Parks, 78, of Turlock, will be held at 2 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1400 East Ave., Turlock. She passed away at Vintage Faire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born in Missouri to Frank and Nellie Collier in 1930. Mary was raised in Arkansas. She met Ira Parks and they married in 1947. In 1951, they moved to Turlock and lived here since then. Mary was a teacher’s aide at Osborn School in Turlock for over 20 years. God and family were her life.
Mary is survived by her husband, Ira Parks of Turlock; children, Mary B. Parks and Mellissa Parks both of Turlock, Dan Parks of Texas, and Penny Carrillo of Sonora, Calif.; brother, Larry Collier; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
