“Margaret” Jones, 82, of Oakdale, passed away at Oak Valley Care Center. She was born in San Luis Obispo to John and Hattie Gonzales. She grew up in Delhi and graduated from high school before marrying the love of her life, Bebe William “Buck” Jones in 1948. Along with her husband, a merchant seaman, Margaret moved to San Francisco and Texas for short times, but settled in Oakdale for most of their lives. Margaret was a wife, mother and homemaker for her husband and five children. She was also a full-time pioneer with the Jehovah’s Witnesses. For 26 years she visited neighborhoods spreading the message of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, “Buck” in 1994; and son, Steven in 2004. She is survived by children, Janet (Glenn) Jaegel of Waterford, Rebecca Jones of Oakdale, Peter Jones of Visalia and Elizabeth (Terry) Silva of Modesto; brothers, Albert Gonzales of Turlock and John R. Gonzales of Paso Robles;12 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
