A memorial service has been held for Larry Saunders, 54, of La Grange. He passed away at home unexpectedly.
Larry was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Henry and Joan Saunders in 1955. He served his country for seven and a half years in the US Air Force, but for most of his working career he was a service manager in the trucking industry in Washington and California.
Larry was a generous and caring man, and he possessed a gift with animals, and enjoyed raising goats, horses, rabbits and chickens. Larry enjoyed every aspect of the outdoors and he was a life-long Harley Davidson enthusiast.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Lila Meglio of La Grange; children, Jennifer Hillhouse of Spokane, Wash., Clint Saunders of Vancouver, Wash., Cody Saunders of Spokane, Wash. and Forrest Saunders of Spokane, Wash.; stepchildren, Rachel Clothier of Pasco, Wash. and James Clancy of Spokane, Wash.; grandchildren, Brandon, Kassie and Zachary; parents, Joan and Henry Saunders of Sun City, Ariz.; and siblings, Kathy Harvey of Colfax, Calif., Barb Schneider of Omaha, Neb. and Sharon Wheatley of Mesquite, Nev.
Larry is preceded in death by sisters, Zona Reeves and Cheryl McRoberts. Larry loved his family dearly and he will be missed by them all.
