Joy, 80 of Turlock, died Tuesday March 13, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Houston, Texas. She was comforted by her family as she spent the last 21 days of her life battling cancer. 
Joy Ann Higgins was born May 20, 1931 in Syracuse, KS, the daughter of Charles and Ethel Price. She lived in California until 1975 when she moved to Texas with her job as a property manager. Joy returned to California in 1999, making in Denair her home. Her family was the most important thing in her life. She raised her daughter, and three step-children.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacqueline (Vest), granddaughter Arianne and great grandson, Cayden (Venable); her brother Charles, and sisters Barbara, Shirley, Patricia, Sandy, and Linda (Price). She is preceded in death by her sister: Charlotte “Kit” (Price) Ellingson of Turlock.
