Jose Coelho Dias Jr., 87, of Azores, died Dec. 23 in Biscoitos, Terceira, Azores. A mass is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1200 Lyons St., Turlock.
Mr. Dias was born Feb. 20, 1922 in Raminho, Terceira, Azores. He came to the United States in 1971, and lived in Chino. He then moved to Artesia, then moved back to Azores in 1979. He came back in 1980 to visit in Chino for six months, and in 1991 he came to visit his son in Turlock for six months.
Mr. Dias is survived by his son, Joe E. Dias of Turlock; sister, Maria Ines Almeida of Biscoitos, Terceira, Azores; grandchildren, Alexandra Almeida of  Terceira, Azores, Theresa Robinson and her husband, Rusty, of Hanford, Steve Dias of Albuquerque, NM and Felipe Duque of Terceira, Azores; great grandchildren Beatriz Almeida and Francisco Almeida of Terceira, Azores; and sister, Maria Calmarinda Lourenco and her husband, Joao, of Chino.
