On Jan. 1, 2010, Johnnie Lee Womack passed away suddenly in Merced. Mr. Womack was born and raised in Merced. He moved to Oklahoma and worked for an oil refining company for five years, until he was injured on the job. He then settled back to Merced, where he like to fish.
He is survived by his son, Brandon K. Womack of Oklahoma; one grandchild; and siblings, Jackie Hand, Haskell Womack, Mickey Womack, Eddie Womack and Pearlie Sullivan.
