Jim Anthony, 59, of Turlock, passed away on Sept. 30. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Oct. 9, followed by a private committal service at Lakewood Memorial Park.
He was born in Gadsden, Ala. and moved to California as a young child, where he spent the remainder of his life. He was a generous and loving son, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He had a great sense of humor and always put others’ needs before his own. He enjoyed many family camping trips and loved the outdoors. One of his greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandkids. Jim was a hard-working man and spent the last 20 years working for Americold.
He is survived by his mother, Sudie Freeman of Turlock; father, Robert Anthony; step-mother, Betty Anthony of Atwater; daughters, Misty (Anthony) Hough of Turlock and Jamie (Jeremy) Wallace of Livermore; grandkids, Kate, Abigail, Kyler and Eddie; sisters, Carol (Keith) Hansen and Theresa Howard, both of Turlock, Andrea Comstock of Atwater; and brothers, Gary Anthony of Mariposa and Michael Anthony of Missouri.
