Howard Vincent, 87, of Hughson was born in Ceres. He graduated from high school in Nicolaus and joined the Navy shortly before World War II broke out. After the war he started his dual career of farming and truck driving. He drove for Valchris Turkeys of Turlock. He was a member of the Grange. He was a farmer and gardener, but his real love was for his family.

Howard is survived by his wife, Ruby McKee-Vincent of Hughson; children, Barbara (Charles) Daily of Oakdale and Jack V. (Sylvia) McKee of Riverton, Wyo.; brother, Duane Vincent of Yuba City; six grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three nephews; and two nieces.
