Hilda Ventura, age 79, passed away peacefully at Alexander Cohen Hospice House with her family by her side. She was born in Modesto to Frank and Rose Oliveira and lived most of her life in Turlock. She was married to her husband Louie Ventura for 60 years. Hilda worked for American Thread Company for 20 years until they closed. She retired from Emanuel Medical Center as a cook. She was a talented seamstress and enjoyed cross stitching as well as taking family outings to Black Oak Casino. Hilda and her husband, Louie, loved camping with their friends Lorene and Howard. She found joy in being able to share her delicious baked goods with everyone. She was a member of the Turlock Moose Lodge and enjoyed square dancing with the Turlock Steppin’ Pards.
She is survived by her children Linda (Dan) Parquette of Galt, Debbie Hendrix and Toni (Paul) Montalvo of Turlock; two granddaughters Brianne Montalvo and Courtney Hendrix; two step grandsons Robbie and D.J. Parquette; two step great granddaughters Christina and Kaydence Parquette; and siblings Jeannette Bonelli and Margie Moulyn.
Hilda is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Louis “Louie” Ventura; parents; and siblings Frank Oliveira, Mary Cardoza and George Oliveira.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014 from 4:00-7:00p.m. at Allen Mortuary.
Funeral services will be on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11:00a.m. also at Allen Mortuary in Turlock.
Committal service will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella on Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:00a.m.
