Gurmeet Atwal, 73, of Livingston passed away on Sept. 24 at Emanuel Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sept. 26 at Allen Mortuary. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m. on Sept. 27 at Allen Mortuary, with cremation following.  
Gurmeet settled in Livingston in 1992. She was a member of the Livingston Sikh Temple. God and family were her life.
Gurmeet is survived by her children, Kamaljit S. Atwal, Manjit S. Atwal, Inderjit S. Atwal, Baljinder K. Tawana, Surinder K. Gill and Balwinder K. Bassi; 12 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
