Gloria Morrow, a resident of Turlock, CA for the last 32 years, passed away tragically on Thursday, April 8, 2021, in Modesto. Her passing ended 72 years of love, laughter and joy.
Gloria was born in Santa Rosa, CA, on September 12, 1948, to Ramon and Margaret Jimenez. Gloria and her family travelled extensively, living briefly in Santa Rosa, CA; Geyserville, CA; Richmond, CA; Ysleta, TX; Roswell, NM; before finally settling down in Turlock, CA.
In 1974, she moved to San Jose and lived there for 15 years, driving a bus for Santa Clara County Transit. In 1988, she moved back to Turlock and worked as a job coach for Caltrans with mentally challenged individuals for 13 years. At the time of her passing, she was a devoted employee for CDS/Costco and worked as a food demonstrator, although she selflessly took time off to care for her mother.
Gloria married Mike Morrow, and together they raised a family. Mike passed away in 1996. Gloria met the love of her life, Angelo Carlos, and found a tremendous amount of happiness with him. Although they were never married, Gloria and Angelo were inseparable. Angelo’s passing in 2011 left a massive hole in her heart that never truly healed. She spent the last ten years of her life without him but he was always on her mind.
Gloria was a unique woman who did so much for others and would help others before considering her own feelings or needs. If she had been a wealthy woman, she would have spent her fortune helping others. Gloria was beautiful, kind-hearted, hardworking and generous. She cherished keeping in touch with her family and loved to discuss the craziness of the world. Gloria was always laughing and, in her leisure time, enjoyed herself a drink. She had the most incredible sense of humor and her smile would brighten up a room. The world is going to miss her terribly.
Along with her loving parents, Ramon and Margaret Jimenez, Gloria was preceded in death by her sister Lidia Jimenez, her husband, Mike Morrow, and her domestic partner, Angelo Carlos.
She is survived by her daughter, Monica Morrow, son-in-law Meo Bradford, son Michael Morrow, grandson Danny Martinez, granddaughters Janiva Corso, Ariel Morrow, Loveina Morrow and Dilylah Morrow, and great-grandkids, Aria, Gideon, Ronin and Ivan. She also leaves behind three sisters, Ramona Miller, Virginia Jobson, Lucy Aguirre and half brother Ramon Jimenez Jr.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:30 p.m., on Friday, April 23, 2021, at Turlock Funeral Home, 425 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 26, 2021, at Turlock Memorial Park, 575 N. Soderquist Rd., Turlock.
