Gary King, Sr. longtime Turlock resident. Born in Denver, Colorado on January 25, 1943 - died August 11, 2023 in Turlock.

At a young age, his parents moved their 4 children to Pasadena, California. Gary attended school there and graduated from the Pasadena Academy.

In 1964, in his early twenties he moved his young family to Turlock and was the owner of the Shell gas station on Lander Avenue and C Street.

He was involved in local politics and was a candidate for Mayor of Turlock. Gary also owned and operated Kings Christmas Trees for many years on Geer Road and provided lovely Christmas Trees to the residents and businesses of Turlock and the surrounding areas.

He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Denair, CA.

He was preceded in death by his father, John King, Sr., his mother Gladys King, his brother John King, Jr., and his daughter Tonya King.

He is survived by his three children Christi Falke, Gary Jr. and Brian; along with seven grandchildren- Sara, Jesse, Rachel, Amanda, Savannah, Sam and Alex, his sisters -Joan and Mayrene, 5 nieces and 1 nephew.

He will be missed.

A private family Celebration of Life will be held in Turlock.
