Freda Bromley, 79, of Turlock, passed away victoriously at Turlock Nursing and Rehab Center on Sunday with her family by her side. Freda was singing “Amazing Grace” at the time of her passing. She was born in Oklahoma to James and Hessie Whitsett and grew up in Van Buren, Ark. She graduated from high school in Van Buren, Ark. She married Billy Bromley in 1954, and with her new family, migrated back and forth to California for several years. She permanently moved to California in 1972. Freda was a strong, loving mother who faithfully raised and cared for her family. Freda centered her family around their home, their church, and their faith in God.
Freda is survived by her children, Gloria (Jack) Clements of Delhi, Terry (Richard) Rushing of Turlock, Billie Jean Bromley of Turlock, Mark (Becky) Bromley of Keyes and Susan Bromley of Turlock; 20 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 24 at Allen Mortuary. A chapel service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 25 at Allen Mortuary, with burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
