Frances was born in Calexico, Calif. to parents Levi and Olga Jacobson in 1919. In 1948, she moved with her husband and children to Denair and they later settled in Turlock. She worked for Turlock School District for 25 years. She enjoyed traveling and was able to visit England, Alaska and take many world cruises.
She is survived by her children, Dave Chaplin of Modesto and Mary Langley of Eureka, Calif.; siblings, Betty Murray of Redding and Charlotte Jacobson of Sonora; grandchildren, Dale, Tina and Eric; and great grandchildren, Julie, Stephen and Stephanie.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Eric Chaplin; siblings, Leonard Jacobson and Ruth Chitwood; parents, Levi and Olga Jacobson; and step-mother, Gunhild Jacobson.
