Filomena Canto Lourenco, 66, of Atwater, died Wednesday in Atwater. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 5 at Whitehurst, Norton & Dias Funeral Chapel. A Mass is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 6 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 1799 Winton Way, Atwater. Rosary will be held Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will be at Turlock Memorial Park.
Filomena was a homemaker for 48 years and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church of Atwater. She was a hard worker and she loved her family.
She is survived by her husband, Joe C. Lourenco of Atwater; sons, Joe C. Lourenco of Atwater and Carlos C. Lourenco of Merced; brothers, Jose Luciano do Canto of Biscoitos, Terceira, Azores, Pedro Luciano and Paul do Canto of Arteisa; sister, Maria Garcia of Arteisa; and grandchildren, Joshua J. Lourenco and his wife, Holly, of Atwater, Justin Lourenco and Jason Lourenco of Merced, Jacob Lourenco of Atwater, Jenny Lourenco, Lizza Lourenco and Nathon Lourenco of Merced.
Services are under the direction of Whitehurst, Norton & Dias.
