Evelyn Soltero, 91, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 13, 2012, with her family by her side at Emanuel Medical Center. She was born February 18, 1921, in Modesto, California to the late William and Mamie Lehmkuhl. Evelyn spent most of her life in Turlock. She belonged to the St. Francis Anglican Church in Turlock, charter member of Women of the Moose where she earned three degrees, V.F.W. Auxiliary, and served Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her daughter JoAnn (Kenneth) Foster of Ceres, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands James Mills, Richard Ivy, and Lawrence Soltero, her son William Mills, and her sister Marion Hawkins.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 16, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Allen Mortuary, 247 N. Broadway in Turlock.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Francis Anglican Church in Turlock with burial to follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
