Elyn Jean Gregg, our beautiful mom, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the amazing age of 99.  Mom was born in September of 1915 in Oakland, Nebraska, the 3rd of 5 children born to John and Ebba Nelson.  The Nelson family moved to California in 1923 and after living in Denair and Delhi, they moved to the family farm in Hughson.

Mom married our dad Edward Gregg, on November 25, 1935.  After buying the Nelson farm, they settled down and grew peaches, grapes and finally almonds while raising 3 children.

Mom was a Psychiatric Technician and worked in the mental health field for 12 years.  After retiring, she volunteered at the surgical waiting room at Emanuel Medical Center.

ELyn, our wonderful mother is survived by brother Warren Nelson; son John Gregg; daughter Jan (Bob) Bowman; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild.  Mom is preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward Gregg and son James.

A Viewing will be held from 5-7 pm on July 1, 2015 at Allen Mortuary.  A Graveside Service will held the next day, July 2, 9:30 am at Lakewood Memorial Park.  Please share your memories at
