Elsie King, 92, born on March 9, 1932, in Livingston, California, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 7, 2024.
Elsie met the love of her life, Tim King, while working on her father’s dairy farm. They married on September 9, 1948, when she was just 16 years old. Together, they started a dairy in Cressy, California, which they later moved to Turlock. Elsie worked every aspect of the dairy for a remarkable 72 years, milking cows, feeding and raising livestock, and operating all the equipment.
Elsie and Tim raised 10 children and were devout Catholics, regularly attending Sunday Mass. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life. In addition to her children, she is survived by 37 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
Elsie is survived by her children: Tim Jr, Keven, Dave and Tom King; Linda Chaves, Judy Coelho, Susan Reyman and Mary Ann Buckingham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tim King, her sons Michael and Dennis King, and her grandchildren Danny, Jason, Tracy, and Louie Chaves; Tony, Travis, Chad and Bobby King. She is also preceded in death by her parents Manuel and Mary Terra and her siblings Eddie, Irene, Lionel and Matilda.
Elsie will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her unmatched work ethics and her dedication to her faith.
Funeral Mass and Burial services were held under the direction of Allen Mortuary.
