David Contreras Baca, 53, of Patterson, died Thursday at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. He was born to the late Manuel and Elidia Baca in California. He was raised in Union City and lived in Fremont before he settled in Patterson three years ago. He was a jack of all trades and had a 30-year career as a mechanic. 

He is survived by his wife, Diane Baca; children, Scott, Vincent, Jesse and Adrianna Baca, all of Patterson; and his brothers and sisters.
