Dara Doyle-Selby, 50, of Turlock, passed away suddenly and tragically at Emanuel Medical Center. Dara was born to Gary and Rethia Doyle in Trona, California. She moved to Empire at age 3 and she graduated from Beyer High School in 1979. She attended MJC and graduated from Cal. State Stanislaus with a Bachelors' Degree in '83 and added a teaching credential in 1984. Her first teaching position was at Avenal High School. For the last 22 years Dara has taught Physical Education at Chatom Elementary School.
Dara has many friends and has enjoyed scrapbooking, weekend trips with her Valley Moms club, working out, family camping, and Reality Shows. She has also been a loving wife and a faithful sports Mom. Swimming, Water Polo, Soccer, Golf, and Little League games have filled many weekends and have left many great memories. Her family is mourning and feeling great sadness that one who loved life, friends and family so much has been taken from them so soon.
Dara was preceded in death by her mother Rethia Rowland-Doyle. She is survived by her loving husband Mark Selby, three children: Colin, Haylie and Quinn Selby, her father Gary Doyle of Waterford, brother Brett Doyle of Modesto, and many close friends.
