It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christine “Sissy” M. Blaine-Bracamontes of Livingston, California, who passed away at the age of 56. Christine grew up in the Merced area surrounded by family, including her parents Yolanda Castro, Stanley Blaine, and Gene Weisman, along with her brothers Gene, Michael, and Bryan.
Christine attended Livingston High School and later trained as a medical assistant. She spent her career working in retail or tending bar, but her greatest pride and joy was always her family. As a devoted mother to Michael Blaine, and Christian Bracamontes, Alyssa Blaine-Bracamontes, Christine cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, nurturing them with love, guidance, and unwavering support throughout their lives.
Christine enjoyed attending family gatherings, trying her luck at the casino, singing along at concerts, crocheting, catching up with friends over long conversations, and cooking her scrumptious lumpia. She was known for her infectious laugh, compassionate spirit, and ability to make everyone around her feel welcome and loved. Whether sharing a meal with loved ones or lighting up a room with her presence, Christine made every moment feel a little brighter.
She is survived by her children, Michael Blaine, Christian Bracamontes, and Alyssa Blaine-Bracamontes; parents Yolanda (Javier) Castro, Stanley Blaine, and Gene Weisman; her brothers Michael Blaine and Bryan Blaine; and her beloved grandchildren Skylee, Naia, Behr, and Amelie. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends whose lives she deeply touched.
Christine is preceded in death by her grandparents Irenio and Elizabeth Cruz, Hilmar and Louise Blaine, George and Lorraine Wiseman, her brother Gene Blaine, and other cherished family members who welcomed her into eternal peace.
A visitation will be held at Allen Mortuary in Turlock on Monday, October 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Atwater on Tuesday, October 29, at 9:30 a.m., followed immediately by a Funeral Mass. Christine will be laid to rest at the Winton Cemetery District.
Christine will be remembered for the love she gave, the laughter she shared, and the light she brought into the lives of all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
