Charlie Leroy Anderson, 44, passed away on Sept. 19 at Memorial Hospital in Modesto. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sept. 25 at the Free Will Baptist Church, 2217 Geer Rd., Turlock.
Born July 18, 1964, in Modesto, Calif., he was raised in Turlock and South Dakota. After he graduated from Roslyn High School in 1982, he attended college in Watertown, SD. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1986, and was honorably discharged in 1995, as a sergeant. He was awarded many medals, badges, and ribbons. Charlie settled back in Turlock in 1997, met Betty and was married in 2000. He was employed with Stiles Truck Body as a welder for the last 10 years. Charlie enjoyed fishing and creating welding projects.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Anderson of Turlock; children, Michael Camarillo, Andrea Rubio and Joshuah Rubio, all of Turlock; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Peggie Anderson of Turlock; and siblings, Cindy Carlson of Winnemucca, Nev., Steven Anders of Turlock, and Cass Caulton of Ceres.
