Beverly Jean Hansen, 76, passed away peacefully on Aug. 15, 2009, at English Oaks Convalescent in Modesto.
She was born in Piedmont, Calif. to the late William and Ruby Johnson. She grew up in Oakland and after she graduated from Fremont High School in 1951, she married Ronald Hansen. They moved to San Lorenzo in 1965, before moving to Waterford in 1978. Beverly settled in Modesto in 2006. Beverly was an instructional aid for the Waterford School District for 12 years. She belonged to the Waterford Church of the Brethren. In her younger years, she loved bowling and taking trips to her family cabin in Twain Harte.
Beverly is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Ronald Hanson; son, John M. Hansen of Colorado; daughter, Lyn M. Shattuck of Modesto; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren with one on the way; and sisters, Barbara Baughman of Modesto and Karen Baker of Waterford.
