It is with heavy hearts, that we share the passing of Amy Larson Azevedo. On May 17, 2021, at the age of 52, Amy passed away peacefully in her home. She was born October 14, 1968 to Phillip and Sonya Larson. As a child, she grew up on the family ranch, attended Julien Elementary, and graduated from Turlock High School in 1986. While in high school, she enjoyed being a part of the swim team and cheerleading squad. In 1985, Amy was Turlock High School’s very own Homecoming Queen. The Larson family owned and operated a successful business, Western Ranch Plaza in Turlock, where she was employed for most of her life and made lifelong friends with many customers.
To know her was to love her. Amy was a genuine, gracious and gorgeous soul, with a smile that would light up the room. No matter what anyone was going through, she would take you in, without hesitation, and care for you as her own. There was no brighter light than the one that followed her. Every year when her red rosebush was in bloom, she would cut each individual rose and deliver them to family and friends she cared about most. Many lives were touched by her kindness, devotion to GOD and love for people. Her favorite place to be was surrounded by her family and was the most gracious host of all birthdays and BBQs. Amy loved to spend most of her summers in her own backyard teaching her nieces and nephews how to swim, and her weekends under the sun at her family ranch, guiding the kids on each horse around the arena. Most of all, she loved being a mother. The bond she had with her girls was what she cherished most.
Amy is survived by her three beautiful daughters, Brooke Gioletti, Breawna Borges and Ashlen Azevedo; grandchild, Avishai Golden; sisters, Tena Leonis and Lisa Smith; and her husband, Jack Azevedo. She also leaves behind several special aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews who she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sonya and Phillip Larson.
