Turlock Community Theatre announces shows for 2024-25
Frankie Quiñones
The Turlock Community Theatre’s 2024-25 season will kickoff with comedian and actor Frankie Quiñones on Sept. 14.

A handful of shows from the Turlock Community Theatre’s 2024-25 season were announced last week, with others expected soon.

From here on out, the theatre will be announcing shows to the public as they are booked instead of the traditional way of announcing all shows at once. It’s a way for each show to get more promotion and for tickets to go on sale sooner.

Four shows — two standup comedy sets and two musical performances — have been announced thus far.

The season kicks off on Sept. 14 when comedian and actor Frankie Quiñones takes the stage. Quiñones stars in Hulu’s “This Fool” and has also been featured in FX’s “What We Do In The Shadows” and AMC’s “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live.” In addition, he has gained much online notoriety for his viral YouTube skits, including his role doing humorous workout routines as Creeper in the hit web series “CholoFit.” Tickets range between $39 to $65.

Three Dog Night
Los Angeles-based rock band Three Dog Night will be at the Turlock Community Theatre on Oct. 2

The venue will transition into a concert hall on Oct. 2 when it welcomes Three Dog Night. The Los Angeles-based rock band had a total of 21 Billboard Top 40 hits between 1969 and 1975, including three number ones. Hit records include “Mama Told Me,” “Joy to the World,” “Black and White,” “Shambala,” “Never Been to Spain,” “One,” and “An Old Fashioned Love Song.” Tickets are anywhere from $54 to $105.

The music continues on Oct. 17 when country music singer-songwriter Deana Carter comes to town. Carter achieved stardom in 1996 with the release of her debut album “Did I Shave My Legs for This?,” which was certified five-time Multi-Platinum in the United States for sales of over 5 million. Her hit songs include “Strawberry Wine,” “Count Me In,” “You & Tequila” and “We Danced Anyway.” Tickets are $33 to $64.

Deana Carter
Country music singer-songwriter Deana Carter will come to town on Oct. 17.

Two days later, on Oct. 19, comedian Rene Vaca will look to fill the venue with laughter once more with his show, which has been designated for mature audiences only. Vaca won the “Stand Up NBC” competition in 2021, and most recently has been featured in this year’s “Netflix is a Joke” tour lineup. Tickets range from  $33 to $59.50.

Tickets for each show can be purchased at www.TurlockTheatre.org. Each show will kick off at 7:30 p.m.
