The Turlock Fire Department is investigating a fire that engulfed an unoccupied vehicle and threatened a nearby apartment complex.
There were no injuries reported in the fire and firefighters were able to keep the flames from spreading to the apartment complex in the 1000 block of N. Olive Avenue.
The fire was initially reported as a structure fire around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.
The first firefighters to arrive found it was an empty car that had been set ablaze and not a building. The car was fully engulfed.
Turlock firefighters were able to quickly contain and extinguish the fire, preventing any spread to the adjacent apartments.
Turlock Fire Department handled the incident with one battalion chief, two engine companies, and one squad company for a total of ten personnel.
