A 30-year-old Turlock woman was killed Tuesday morning in a traffic collision in Patterson.

The woman was identified as Kristee Renee Moseli.

The collision was reported at 10:48 a.m. Tuesday at Sycamore and Eucalyptus avenues in Patterson, the California Highway patrol reported.

Moseli was driving a 2009 Smart Fortwo westbound on Eucalyptus, approaching the intersection.

A 2013 Peterbuilt Big Rig, driven by 55-year-old John Van Dyk III of French Camp, was headed northbound on Sycamore. The big rig was hauling an empty cattle trailer, the CHP reported.

The intersection has posted stop signs for traffic on Eucalyptus, but not Sycamore. According to the CHP, Moseli failed to stop at the posted stop sign and entered the intersection directly into the path of the big rig.

The front of the Peterbuilt struck the left side of the Smart car, causing extensive damage.

Moseli sustained fatal injuries from the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Both Moseli and Van Dyk were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.

Alcohol and drugs are not considered to be factors in the collision.

Moseli’s LinkedIn account listed her current profession as a nursing supervisor at Turlock Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
