A solo vehicle collision on Highway 99 Thursday morning resulted in the death of a Turlock woman.
The deceased was identified as Felicia Gallo, 36, of Turlock.
The accident happened at 7:45 a.m. Thursday on northbound Highway 99, near the Lander Avenue exit, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Gallo was driving a Honda Accord northbound when for an unknown reason she veered the vehicle to the right and off the highway.
The Honda went down the embankment and overturned. It struck a wire fence and then came to a stop, the CHP reported.
Gallo was ejected from the Honda during the crash. The CHP reported that Gallo was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision. She was rushed to Emanuel Medical Center, where she died from her injuries.
The collision remains under investigation.
