Holiday lights shuttle
Turlock Transit has brought back the free Holiday Lights Shuttle this week, offering community members a nearly hour long tour of decorated homes throughout the city (Photo courtesy of Turlock Transit).

Turlock Transit will be providing a free shuttle bus for community members to experience Christmas lights throughout the city.

Running from now through Saturday, the Holiday Lights Shuttle will give folks a 45 to 50-minute ride through Turlock neighborhoods. The shuttle will depart from the south side of the Transit Center building at 1418 N. Golden State Blvd. and will travel a route developed by the transit staff to see as many holiday lights registered locations as possible within the allotted time.

The locations are part of the City of Turlock Holiday Lights Tour, which encourages neighborhoods, organizations and residents to share their holiday spirit with the community by registering their displays with the city. The City will judge the entries this week based on three categories: Best Use of Lights, Best Use of Holiday Décor and Best Overall. Winners will be announced Dec. 19 on the City of Turlock website and social media sites. For more information, visit: https://www.cityofturlock.org/holidaylightstour/

Shuttles will depart at 5 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. during the week. On Saturday, only one bus will depart at 5 p.m.

Space is limited to approximately 10 passengers per shuttle. Participation in the shuttle tours will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. While the service is open to everyone, Turlock Transit encourages participation by those who may not have other transportation options.
