Fourteen student artists from across the San Joaquin Valley have their work featured in the newly released 2024 Healthy Air Living Kids' Calendar.
The San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District’s annual calendar is a bilingual, full-color wall calendar, featuring clean-air messages and drawings, and designed to educate and inspire the public to live a Healthy Air Life and reduce air pollution in the Valley.
The following local students have their artwork featured in the calendar:
· Israel Ruiz Medina, 6th grade, Hanford – Cover artist “Plug in for Clean Air”
· Miguel Zapata, 6th grade, Bakersfield – “Start the Revolution Against Air Pollution.”
· Isabel Fuentes, 8th grade, Turlock – “Clean Air = Clean Lungs”
· Calla Martinez, 4th grade, Fresno – “Healthy Air Living, Download the Valley Air app!”
· Delmira Rubio, 11th grade, Stockton – “There’s no place like Earth, let’s clean our air!.”
· Marli Roman, 10th grade, Stockton – “Keep it green to keep the air clean.”
· Bryten Lane, 7th grade, Clovis– “Paws” Pollution, go electric.”
· Mia, 3rd grade, Madera – “Switch your car to an electric one. Yes to battery, no to gas.”
· Evelyn, 7th grade, Bakersfield – “Stop Idling. The smart solution to air pollution.”
· Hector Gomez – “Healthy Air Living.”
· Christina Rodriguez, 11th grade, Kerman – “Carpooling is fun! And helps keep our air clean!”
· Alexander Piña Nuñez, 4th grade, Tipton – “Always recycle and don’t burn trash because it hurts us and the air.”
· Santiago Medina, 4th grade, Hanford – “Keep charging. Keep cleaning our air.”
· Reagan, Madera – “We can all be healthy air heroes”
The calendars are free, and distributed to schools, community groups, healthcare facilities, churches, civic organizations, non-profits, and individuals upon request, while supplies last.
