With the temperatures on the rise, and the forecast calling for sunny days, the spring wildflowers are out. If you head to the hills this weekend, you will see the beauty of California in the spring.
In the Merced River Canyon (Hwy 140), the mountains are blanketed with poppies, lupines and redbuds to name a few. With temperatures reaching close to 80 degrees, if you keep driving, you will be able to see the majestic waterfalls in Yosemite. On Hwy 108, stop at the Knights Ferry Bridge and you should be able to see wildflowers around the recreation area. If you drive along Hwy 49, you should see wildflowers throughout the Gold Country.
