Local law firm continuing NYE Sober Rides
drunk driving

Silva Injury Law in Turlock is once again encouraging folks to ring in the new year safely as they are continuing their NYE Sober Rides campaign. The campaign offers free rideshares for those throughout the Turlock metropolitan area who have consumed alcohol on New Year’s Eve, ensuring that they don’t get behind the wheel while impaired.

“The holidays are supposed to be a great time for everyone. A time to celebrate with family and catch up with friends. There's nothing wrong with opening a drink or two, but serious problems arise when people drive off while still intoxicated,” the company said in a press release.

Partygoers who have consumed alcoholic beverages can order an Uber, Lyft or cab rideshare between 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 and 10 a.m. on Jan. 1. The reimbursement offer is only valid for one, one-way ride to a safe destination and is limited to one reimbursement per household. Additionally, there is a maximum rideshare value of $25, including a maximum tip of 10 percent.

To receive the reimbursement, participants must be the legal drinking age of 21 and must mail a copy of the receipt and a photo ID to the Silva Injury Law office within 10 business days. The mailing address is Silva Injury Law, 2130 Geer Rd. Suite A, Turlock, CA 95382. There is a limit of 60 rideshare reimbursements that are expected to fill up fast. All entries are on a first-come, first-serve basis in the order in which the firm receives them in the mail.
