CrossFit ParaBellum is continuing to do its part in the fight against breast cancer as the local gym hosted its eighth Barbells for Boobs event.
Barbells for Boobs is a non-profit organization dedicated to the dearly detection of breast cancer with an emphasis of men and women under the age of 40. CrossFit ParaBellum had 146 athletes work out, and over 200 spectators, at the fundraiser event on Saturday and they raised a total of $6,792 for Barbells for Boobs.
“Words cannot begin to express our gratitude for the community in this picture. Life's greatest opportunities are encompassed with the passion to help others…Saturday each one of these athletes came out for a bigger purpose than themselves, to raise awareness and give a voice. No one has to fight this battle alone and we are so very blessed to be able to be a part of the Barbells for Boobs mission,” said Renee Sedgwick, owner of CrossFit ParaBellum. “No battle is too big to overcome when you have a community willing to carry you along the way and that is a beautiful thing to be a part of.”
