Ten Pin Fun Center at 3700 Countryside Dr. in Turlock will be ringing in the new year with live music, an addition to the 62,000 square-foot bowling and family entertainment center nearly a year in the making.
In January, Ten Pin submitted paperwork to the City of Turlock Planning Commission requesting to amend the existing Conditional Use Permit to allow live entertainment. The request was unanimously approved on Nov. 2.
With the amendment, Ten Pin can now host singers, bands, DJs, karaoke events, comedy shows, magic shows and more. The ability to host live entertainment also opens the door for the facility to host events like high school proms and graduation nights.
Atwater-based country and rock band Weekend at Jimmy’s will be the first talent to take the stage at Ten Pin during the center’s New Year’s Eve Bash. It is tabbed as “the biggest party of the year” by Ten Pin. The event, which kicks off at 7 p.m. on Dec. 31, features an all-you-can-eat buffet and is $50 per adult and $30 per child.
The new feature is just one of the ways Ten Pin is growing heading into 2024.
In April, it was announced that Ten Pin was planning a new location in Manteca on Atherton Drive south of the 120 Bypass between Union Road and Airport Way. The project will consist of two buildings flanking a 500-space parking lot, according to Turlock Journal sister paper The Manteca Bulletin.
“We’ve got a lot going on, and it’s a very exciting time for us,” said Ten Pin developer Rod Scott.
