History of business: For over three years, husband and wife Sintia Shahbaz and Anil Biviyodavid have been providing mobile IV therapy services in Turlock and surrounding communities. The couple is now getting ready for the grand opening of their brick and mortar Hydr8 Wellness Center in downtown Turlock.
“I’ve been an emergency room nurse for the last seven years, and I always wanted to have my own business,” said Biviyodavid. “[I saw] this kind of stuff in Southern California and Las Vegas and other parts of the country, and I was super intrigued by it so decided to give it a go. Then it grew like crazy, much faster than I ever anticipated.”

IV (or intravenous therapy) is a procedure that delivers fluids, electrolytes, vitamins and nutrients directly to the bloodstream through a catheter. Hydr8 offers a variety of IV therapy services aimed at rapid rehydration, boosting the immune system, and anti-aging.
“The most popular service would be our immune system boosters. When people are sick and they're not feeling well, then we're there. We're always there to help them out. And now that we've expanded, we have the two options. If somebody is not comfortable having someone in their house, they can come to the office, or we have the ability to go to their home to do the service,” said Biviyodavid.
Hydr8 has many repeat customers, said Biviyodavid, especially when it comes to their immune boost therapy.
“If they're sick again, or a family member gets sick, they'll be the ones calling us. And that's how the majority of our business is actually working, just by people referring one another because of how good they felt after doing it,” he said.
The Wellness Center also offers red light therapy and offer a host of natural supplements and vitamins in their new store location.
Hydr8 Wellness Center’s grand opening will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. April 25 at 700 E. Main St., Turlock.
